OMAR Mine/ERW Museum

The first mine museum in Afghanistan was founded in 1994 by OMAR. It attracts visitors from all over the world. In addition to serving as a tourist attraction, the museum aims to inspire people by drawing their attention to the dangerous items and weapons planted and used during the decades of war. In addition to viewing the Free From Explosive Items, visitors can also read a brief history lesson on the effects of war on Afghan populations.

OMAR has been known for its legacy of clearance and EORE from eras of war in the nation and visitors still seek to learn more about OMAR and its Mine Museum.

OMAR has one of the few Wars Mine Museums in the world as recognized by UNESCO in 2016. We collect weapons, mines, and any explosive devices found during the clearance of an area, OMAR makes sure all the collected devices are Free from Explosive (FFE) before placing them in the museum.
